Yksi oli tosin poissa. Puhemies Sauli Niinistö (kok.) katsoi avausistuntoa tärkeämmäksi seurata Rotterdamissa Hollannin ja Suomen välistä EM-jalkapallon karsintaottelua. Siellä on varmaan mukavaa -- ellei peli (tulos tietämättä) mene yhtä penkin alle kuin Moldovassa…
Jep, jep. Ei Niinistöä nähty kokoomuksen puoluekokouksessakaan, eikä kokoomuksen eduskuntaryhmän kesäkokokouksessa, eikä… Siinä sitä pitäisi silti kököttää puhemiehen pallilla huhtikuuhun saakka, rapiat seitsemän kuukautta, kiinnosti tai ei.
Muut kun muut edustajat kokoontuivat kesälomien jälkeen, niin eduskunnan kuppilassa nousi suorastaan musta poliittinen savu: yksi jos toinenkin ennakoi, että tulossa on hurja syksy, kun vaalit painavat päälle ja puolueet ja edustajat alkavat profiloitua. Tästä on varoitellut mm. varapuhemies Seppo Kääriäinen (kesk.)
Se tarkoittaa ajutomaattisesti ainakin kahta asiaa:
a) Suurista asioista tulee isoja riitoja;
b) Pienistä asioista tulee isoja riitoja.
Aloitetaan yhdestä isosta riidasta.
Perustulslakiuudistus ja presidentin valtaoikeuksien leikkaamiset ovat vielä monen väittelyn takana. Presidentti Tarja Halonen jatkaa tässä asiassa SDP:n vaalimannekiinina. Urho Kekkosen 110-vuotisjuhlissa presidentti syytti vallan riisumisesta “poliittista eliittiä” ja mediaa. Muutenkin Mäntyniemen rouvan mukaan kaikki menee vinoon. Pääministerin valintakin delegoitiin hänen mukaansa viime kesänä keskustan puoluekokoukselle. Kiukuttelussaan Halonen yhtyy demareiden viime keväiseen kritiikkiin -- eli jälkikäteen lausunnosta voi tulkita, että Halonen olisi halunnut aikaistaa eduskuntavaaleja kuten puolueensa SDP:kin. Ikävää, ettei Haloska voi Urkin tapaan hajottaa eduskuntaa.

Pikkuriitoja on turha edes arvata, niitä tulee sen verran paljon. Poliittinen paine on niin kova, että hysteria syntyy kaikesta.
Kokoomuksen Jyrki Katainen on ensimmäistä kertaa ajatumassa siihen tilanteeseen, ettei ihan kaikki olekaan “fantastista”. Venäjä-lausunnot menivät niin pahasti poskelleen, että pahemmin poskelleen meni ainoastaan niiden selittely. Kataisen lausunto, että hän häpeää suomalaisten Venäjä-keskustelun puolesta oli ainutlaatuista äänestäjien aliarvioimista. Kokoomuksen sisälläkin aletaan epäillä, että nyt menee liian lujaa. Samalla Ylen hallintoneuvosto pui populistisesti vasemmistovedolla yhden määräaikaisen avustasopimuksen päättymistä, että kohu saadaan pidettyä yllä. Kuin koristeeksi esille kaivettiin vielä Kataisen viiden vuoden takaiset Supo-kovistelut edesmenneelle päällikölle Seppo Nevalalle.
Joka tapauksessa Katainen on seurannassa. Ylimielisyys ei ole kaukaa haettu termi.
Kokoomus sai vielä huokaista, sillä Helsingin Sanomien tuoreessa gallupissa se on yhä vankka ykkönen 22,6 prosentillaan.
Kepukin on 0,5 prosenttiyksikön kasvussa (19,5 %).
Ja perussuomalaisten ylämäki jatkuu (10,5 %).
Mutta voi SDP rukkaa…
SDP:n kannatuksen pitäsi nousta kohisten, mutta ei. Nyt puolue tippui Hesarin mittauksessa 0,8 prosenttia 19,9:ään. Muutokset menevät virhemarginaaliin, mutta joka tapauksessa kannatus tippui alle 20 %:n rajan. Se tarkoittaa, että puolueessa iskee paniikki, elleivät luvu ala nousta. Pelkkä rakkaus ei elätä politiikassakaan ja puheenjotaja Jutta Urpilaisen eläkelupaukset kertovat siitä, että SDP:n linja alkaa kirkastua “Ei Meille Käy Mikään” -- vaihtoehdoksi.

Mutta ei mene hyvin kepullakaan. Puoluesihteeri Timo Laaninen (kesk.) antoi Arto “Nova” Merisalolle porttikiellon puolueen laivaseminaariin syyskuun lopulla. Tosin ilman valtuuksia, koska keskusta ei vielä päätä esimerkiksi laivayhtiön puolesta ketkä laivaan saavat tulla, sellaiset valtuudet oli keskustan ammoisalla veljespuolueella NKP:llä. Mutta jos Merisalo kaikesta huolimatta ryntää paikalle, mitä Laaninen sitten tekee? Merisalo lankulle keskellä Itämerta? Tai pari kertaa kölin ympäri?
